Colour – Sketch and Principles of Freehand Drawing
The book presents works by great artists from different eras, which share common aesthetic elements, as well as a collection of numerous drawings created by students interpreting the same principles according to their own temperament and personality.
The purpose of the book is to make the elements of drawing and colour composition, such as the principles and aesthetics that govern them, understandable through the drawings and paintings.
Additionally, with the composition of the entire collection of works presented, the book aims to achieve a satisfying aesthetic result. The texts are kept to the bare minimum in order to present as many drawings as possible.
It is therefore not just an illustrated book that complements the text, but a drawing album in which the small number of texts accompanies and explains the multitude of drawings. If, as is often said, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” then this book is rich in texts.
