Painting in sacred places
Doug Patterson
The British architect-painter, a multi-talented Renaissance artist, paints Holy Places of the three monotheistic religions, following in the footsteps of famous travellers-pilgrims, Vasily Barsky in the Orthodox East, Sammuel Davis and Hercules Brabazon, who visited respectively the Holy Mountain, Bhutan and the Indies.
In his exhibition of works, whose publication constitutes the catalogue of his works, he presents mainly works from Mount Athos and some from Saint Catherine of Sina.
