The Penco Sketch Book is a ring-bound pad filled with HS Painting King drawing paper, a Japanese off-white sheet with a rough texture and a soft hand. The surface has a moderate tooth, absorbs well, and dries quickly, so it takes light watercolour washes, crayon, pencil, and ink. The tooth is shallow and the surface is tough, so the paper does not pill easily under an eraser.
