Five acrylic markers with fine 1.2mm round tips, in primary colours. The paint is water-based, opaque, and permanent, with a matt finish. A pump mechanism controls how much paint reaches the tip, so the flow is easy to manage and the line comes out clean. Each cap holds a spare tip for when the original wears out.

First use: shake the marker with the cap closed for at least 5 seconds. Then press the tip onto a scrap of paper. Quick, repeated pumping is not needed: hold steady pressure with the tip partly pushed in, so the pump draws paint into the tip. Test before working on the final surface.
Later use: same routine. If too much paint comes through, wipe the tip holder with paper before capping.
Changing the tip: if the tip wears out, replace it with the spare stored in the cap.
When flying: pressure changes can push extra paint into the tip and cap. Open carefully and clean if needed before use.
