The frescoes of the katholikon of the Holy Monastery of St. Gregory
Orthodox iconography is humble. Because humble is also the incarnate God. It is humble because it is theocentric. It does not highlight the autonomous human being, but the God-man, and in the God-man, the deified human being. Thus, it shows the true human being. Every iconographed Orthodox church is an evangelion through images, which every believer can read, regardless of their literacy.
