Brush Sets

Brush sets combine the essential shapes and sizes in one pack: rounds with a fine point for line and detail, flats for coverage and clean edges, and often a filbert for soft-edged strokes, spread from small numbers to large. One set covers the full span of a painting, from the ground to the final detail.

Each paint has its sets. Watercolour sets contain soft brushes that hold plenty of water and a fine point. Oil and acrylic sets contain stiffer hairs that move heavy colour and build texture. Iconography sets gather fine pointed rounds and liners for egg tempera work. General sets, in medium synthetics, handle more than one paint comfortably and suit schools, workshops, and craft.

A set costs less than the same brushes bought singly, and it is the usual starting point for every technique. Individual brushes extend it later, where the work asks.
